North Yorkshire Wedding Photography | Danby Castle Wedding Photographer

Victoria + Luke got married at the church in Danby and then hiked across the North Yorkshire Moors to their reception at Danby Castle. When Luke first described the journey between venues, it was called a quick walk, however after traversing peaks and hills, Id definitely call it a hike, especially as it was around 90 minutes in duration and the temperature was 25 degrees plus that day!

The couple booked me to cover their ceremony until the speeches, and so I arrived at the church ahead of the ceremony to capture the guests arriving, and Luke making his entrance with his groomsmen, by walking across the fields from the venue where they all got ready, safe to say I think that walking is a big part of this couple’s lifestyle! The weather on the day was intense, as it has been all summer, but as this was the end of Spring, it was a good warm up for the heat of the months to come, literally.

During the ceremony, I was asked by the vicar to stay at the back of the church, but rules are rules and some times in life you just have to abide, and as it was appreciated that the couple would like a couple of photo’s from their marriage, I was allowed to capture a couple from the back, which also showed off the beautiful interior of the church. As Ive said before, I do enjoy photographing wedding’s in Church’s as there is often some lovely light and great compositions to play with.

I got this message from Victoria when the couple received their photo’s:
“These are fantastic. We love them!¬†Thank you so much”
