Megan + Ross’ Faversham Wedding Photography

Megan + Ross got married at The Faversham, a popular pub in the centre of Leeds. The Venue is large enough to accommodate weddings of all sizes and offers a large beautifully lit conservatory for the ceremony and meal and a large nightclub and outdoor space for hosting your reception rain or shine and whatever the time of year.

The weather on the day behaved itself and allowed the guests to enjoy some of the last rays of sunshine of the year. Megan got ready with her mum and a few friends in some renovated apartments on Clarendon Road, which runs just behind the venue. This wedding was very relaxed in terms of formality – their were no official bridesmaids or groomsmen and formal photography was kept to a minimum, which are always my favourite days to cover as it allows me to immerse myself in taking pictures and not worry too much about guarding my chosen location for groups, or reconfiguring my list of shots of the couple in response to changing of weather and light, or turn around in the layout of the venue.

After the ceremony, the couple hired in a musician to entertain everyone through out the afternoon and early evening, and this culminated in the start of the party when folk started to let it all hang a little looser, helped in same part by the steady flow of alcohol. Once the final set had finished the couple did a quick impromptu first dance before being joined eagerly on the dance floor by all of the family and friends.

Megan + Ross sent me this message when they got their photo’s back:

“Wow! The photos are amazing. They are exactly what we wanted. Thank you so much for everything. It has been a pleasure getting to know you and we wish you all the best with your life. We would highly recommend you to anyone, thank you so much for capturing the day.”
