North Yorkshire Wedding Photography | Danby Castle Wedding Photographer

Heidi + Paul got married at Danby Castle in North Yorkshire. The couple stayed in Sandsend for the weekend and asked that I start the day by taking a few photos of the the coast line and view of the abbey in nearby Whitby. I arrived early in order to watch the light gently rise and as daylight crept into my frame I was able to catch a few atmospheric photo’s for them which act as a great opening to their collection of pictures and a good reminder of the days weather.

The couple and their close family got ready at a couple of cottages and breaking from tradition, Heidi and Paul chose to get ready together in the morning, with Heidi making her appearance in her dress perfectly framed in the window of the house as Paul and his best man were escorted by Rickshaw to the waiting transport to the venue.

The ceremony produced plenty of laughs and tears and afterwards the newly weds walked down to their reception, with a brass band playing as a surprise for the guests. The band played throughout the reception and the guests got lost in the music and time literally disappeared as everyone danced away. The band created a brilliant atmosphere and I wish that I could remember what they were called, but if anyone would like to know, send me a message as Im sure that I could find out!

After the signature pie and mash supper that Danby Castle are renowned for and speeches, the evening leisurely rolled by before the dance floor was discovered and as I walked back to my car after finishing, the party lit up the moors behind me.
