Buckminster Barn Wedding Photography | Tipi Wedding Photographer

Claire + Jamie got married at St Mary’s Church in Grantham and then held their reception in a Tipi at Buckminster Barn, a short drive from the church.

I met with Claire and the bridal party in the morning before meeting up with Jamie and the arriving guests at the church. The couple had a beautiful catholic ceremony which provided lots of great photo opportunities, before we all set off for the reception at Buckminster Barn.

Located just off of the village green and next to the local church and vicarage, the renovated Barn provides  a bar and base from which to build your wedding reception. Claire & Jamie hosted their guests with a Tipi and garden games, with paella cooking on an open stove for their tapas meal, the setting made an idyllic wedding reception on a summers afternoon.

The weather on the day behaved itself and despite the odd gust of wind, the entire reception was held outside, with the celebrations going strong as the sun came down as I was leaving in the evening. The couple chose to break from tradition and dropped the first dance and cake cutting to create more time for relaxing and mingling with their guests without the constraints of a schedule and this laid back calm set the tone for entire day.

I received this feedback from Claire + Jamie after the wedding:

“We just wanted to say thank you again for how brilliant you were on the day, so many people commented on it to us. You made everything as easy and chilled as possible which is exactly what we wanted. Thanks again.”

Here is a small selection of photos to demonstrate my style of Wedding Photography.
